Rice Companies provides hands-on learning experiences for interns in school, from the field to the office. Over the last few years, two architectural interns have been building their career from the ground up. Trey and Kylee, two of Rice Companies’ newest full-time team members share their internship to architectural associate story.

Both Kylee and Trey joined Rice Companies as interns in 2023/24 before transitioning into full-time Architectural Associate roles in 2026. Their journeys reflect one of the reasons that Rice Companies is a Midwest commercial construction company of choice. The culture at Rice Companies is a collaborative, family-forward one that invests in their team and provides opportunities for them to learn and grow along the way. That commitment to building up people came full circle for Kylee and Trey when both presented their college senior thesis projects to the Rice Companies team.
