Rice Companies Acquires IA-Based General Contractor The Rose Companies

Rice Companies announced today the acquisition of Fred Rose L.C. dba The Rose Companies, a Cedar Falls, Iowa-based premier design-build general contractor.

This acquisition allows Rice Companies to bring its services and resources, including architecture and engineering, construction management, self-performing field services, maintenance, and development, to Cedar Falls, Waterloo, and the surrounding area. As a third-generation, family-owned company, Rice Companies has built over 3,000 commercial and non-residential projects and has over 100 employees.

Fred Rose will join the Rice Companies team to ensure a smooth transition for current customers and partners. Fred has over 25 years of construction experience and a long track record of success. His leadership and mentorship will be key as the new Cedar Falls leadership team is developed.

Jamie Fettkether, an Iowa native with 28 years of construction experience, has also joined Rice Companies as the company’s Cedar Falls General Manager. Jamie will build upon Rice Companies’ partnership-based approach to its design, construction, and facility maintenance offerings in the region
